Zechariah 10:1 & Haggai 1:11 Your will be done!

Zechariah 10:1 Ask the LORD for rain in springtime; the LORD makes the storm clouds, and He will give them showers of rain and crops of the field for everyone.

It was the Fourth of July and we have been pretty dry, everything turning brown, lacking in rain. It was humid and the weather forecast called for evening thunderstorms but then the thunderstorms were removed from the forecast.

Cecilia and I prayed for rain, then about 5:30 we heard a thunder clap and we disconnected and turned off all electrical appliances. It started out slow with light rain for the next hour and a half then stopped. Shortly after another wave of storms came through dumping 6/10 of an inch in less than 30 minutes with a total rainfall of 9/10 of an inch.

This verse teaches us if we pray/ask the Lord for rain He may answer our prayers.

But what if?
Haggai 1:11 I have summoned a drought on the fields and on the mountains, on the grain, new wine, and olive oil, and on whatever the ground yields, on man and beast, and on all the labor of your hands.”
That is why we add to our prayers, Your will be done. We don’t know God’s will.
Will He discipline or bless? If discipline leads to repentance, repentance can lead to a blessing.

Your will be done!

Blessings, David
