Have you ever met a "Christian" that does not believe that the Bible is the Word of God? You have a conversation with them about a scripture, and they say, "that is all well and good but", or "that for was then, it is not relevant now". It says in *2Tim3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.* There are many that say they do not understand it and put it down. For some, they don't agree with it and refuse to be obedient. The WORD puts us in our place, it shows us that we are sinners, saved by grace. The WORD of God is only profitable if the believer reads the words and desires to be obedient. We are all at different places in our races, and yet we all have the same instruction book. It is written in *Heb4:12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.* The sWORD can only be effective if it is taken out of its sheath. Dear heavenly Father, please help us, Your children, get into Your WORD and help Your WORD to get into us so that we may be "thoroughly equipped for every good work".. In Jesus name, amen.
Douglas
