4Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you.
I use to live for the weekend, and couldn't wait to buy my beer and to leave my work week and the world work behind me.
But when we come to Christ, we change and our coworkers don't like it.
"they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you"!
Most of all we need to stay humble as we are still sinners. We pray for them that God will soften their hearts. We try to be more "Christ like" as they heap abuse on us.
The day will come when their world falls apart and they will seek you out because of your unwavering Christ like behavior. This is when you pray silently for the Holy Spirit to give you the words to speak. He knows what they need to hear because He's already softened their heart.
Be His vessel!
Blessings, David
