Suffering for Righteousness
(Romans 6:15-23)
(Romans 6:15-23)
14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their intimidation;b do not be shaken.”c 15But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to articulate a defense to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But respond with gentleness and respect, 16keeping a clear conscience, so that those who slander you will be put to shame by your good behavior in Christ. 17For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
If you have suffered for doing good, raise your hand! 👍
When Cecilia and I were moved by the Lord to adopt, friends told us we were nuts! They said it won't turn out well. But we decided to listen to God, not to man.
Plus, He sent us a son named Jesus!
Was it hard and difficult? Yes. Could we have done better? Maybe, but we did the best we could and that's all that God asks of you. He says, follow Me!
Was it for our son's benefit or ours?
When we meet Him face to face we will find out!
In the end our son rejected all that he was taught, all the tools he became equipped with because he couldn't get over the "rejection" from his birth mother.
We pray that God will water the "seed" we planted and His "will" be done in him.
Please pray for our son Jesus.
Ask yourself; "if it is God’s will".
When you abide by His will you can't go wrong.
Blessings, David
