3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, 4but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight. 5For this is how the holy women of the past adorned themselves. They put their hope in God and were subject to their husbands, 6just as Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him lord. You are her children if you do what is right and refuse to quiver in fear.
We need to remember, God looks at the heart ❤️.
Peter is referring to "inner disposition of your heart". A heart that puts others first. A loving heart. A cheerful heart. A sacrificial heart.
I thank God for my wife who has all these attributes (loving, cheerful, sacrificial) in the inner disposition of her heart. What's in the heart naturally flows like a river to the outside, (unless you hide it of course).
If God examined your heart today, what would He see?
What is the inner disposition of your heart?
How do you treat your husband?
Are you showing him respect?
Tomorrow we will see how a husband is supposed to love his wife.
Blessings, David
