Leviticus 19:17-18 Bitterness!

17You must not harbor hatred against your brother in your heart. Directly rebuke your neighbor, so that you will not incur guilt on account of him. 18Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against any of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Matthew 18:15

If your brother sins against you, go and confront him privately. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

Luke 6: 27But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

Why are these commands so hard for us to follow?

We must remember to do everything in the love of Jesus.

If you neighbor sins against you, it’s ok to confront him privately but remember to do it in the love of Jesus. If he angers you or doesn’t repent you should pray for them and ask the Lord to remove any bitterness in your heart!

Some Christians cannot grasp the concept to forgive!

The Lord forgave you didn’t He?

Forgive like He forgave you!

It’s that simple.

But if you refuse, beware! Your heart will turn bitter for all to see!

Bitterness is like a sour grape, one bite and your whole stomach turns sour!

Are you a sour grape?

Blessings, David
