12Then the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of the stars were darkened, a third of the day was without light, and a third of the night as well.
13And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels!”
Matthew 24:29 (NKJV)
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
The angel’s woes are well founded, because one-third of the earth’s population will die in the next three trumpets. (Guzik)
“And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven,”KJV
Notice the KJV uses an “angel” vs “eagle”. David Guzik says the Ancient Greek words for angel and eagle have a similar spellings. In the parallel bible most translations use eagle 🦅
The sun will be darkened!
Woe, woe, woe!
Blessings, David
