3Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor. 4But you who held fast to the Lord your God arealive today, every one of you.
Held Fast to the Lord
“At Baal Peor, Israel sinned by committing both sexual and spiritual immorality with the women of Moab. Moses warned the people of Israel that if they rejected God now as they did back then, the result would be the same. Many would die in the judgment of the LORD.” (Guzik)
Have you been tested like Job? Many of us go through trials and they may not be to the extent that Job went through but they could be. Health, sickness, loss of income, loss of possessions, loss of a loved one to name a few. Poor Job didn’t do anything deserving of his pain and suffering but he held fast to the Lord. If your being tested and suffering I suggest you pick up the Bible and study the book of Job.
Hold fast to the Lord and you will be blessed 😇. You may not see it in this lifetime on earth but you be storing up your treasures in heaven.
Matthew 6: Lay Up Treasures in Heaven
19“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
