Genesis 2:10-14 Water of Life

10Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it branched into four headwaters:
11The name of the first river is Pishon; it winds through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12And the gold of that land is pure, and bdellium and onyx are found there.
13The name of the second river is Gihon; it winds through the whole land of Cush.
14The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it runs along the east side of Assyria.
And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

David Guzik believes this description of the rivers gives the sense that it was written by an actual eyewitness, by Adam himself. I always figured it was the Lord.

These rivers and locations no longer exist after the great flood. Since they existed in the garden of Eden and flowed out of Eden could they be considered rivers of life?

Jesus is the river of water of life!

Rev 22:1-2 22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit....

John 4:14 But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”

Are you drinking the water of life?

Blessings, David
