22Now when they set out from Kadesh, the Israelites, the whole congregation, came to Mount Hor.
23Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, by the border of the land of Edom, saying, 24“Aaron will be gathered to his people [in death]; for he shall not enter the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you [both] rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah. 25Take Aaron and Eleazar his son and bring them up to Mount Hor; 26and strip Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. So Aaron will be gathered to his fathers, and will die there.” 27So Moses did just as the LORD had commanded; and they went up Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation. 28After Moses stripped Aaron of his [priestly] garments and put them on Eleazar his son, Aaron died there on the mountain top. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain. 29When all the congregation saw that Aaron had died, all the house of Israel wept (mourned) for him thirty days.
Death-A Big Fish Story
Mount Hor was the place of Aaron’s death, gathered to his people because as the Lord said “he shall not enter the land which I have given to the children of Israel”.
Have you considered your appointment with death?
Hebrews 9:27 Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment,
Recently we watched a movie called Big Fish 🐟, it’s a story about a mans life from birth to death. He told big stories whom his son as an adult became to resent because he believed they were big lies. As his father is dying he starts to realize some of his big stories may be true. When his father is in his deathbed his father asks his son to finish his life story by telling him how it ends.
So his son creates a “big story”. He picks his father up, carries him to his classic car which is like new, races through town to the river, takes him from the car and carries him past all the people from his fathers big stories that he told throughout his lifetime where his wife is waiting in the river, hands his wife his wedding ring and his son releases him in the river where he turns in the big fish from one of his big stories and swims down the river.
Although entertaining when we die we don’t turn into a big fish 🐟!
Upon or death our soul (spirit) leaves our body and ends up in one of two places.
Who will be waiting for you Jesus or Satan?
Blessings
