Judges 20:22-23 Seeking the Lord!

”And the people, that is, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day. Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and asked counsel of the Lord, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the Lord said, “Go up against him.”“ Judges‬ ‭20‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line: “This was a wonderful reaction in the midst of such a dark event. These soldiers did not lose hope; like David in 1 Samuel 30:6, they strengthened themselves in the LORD and moved forward.” (Guzik)

Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until evening: “To their credit, the children of Israel did not stop seeking the LORD after the first disaster in battle. They properly humbled themselves before God and sought Him regarding the next battle.” (Guzik)

Seeking the Lord!

In the battles of life let these verses encourage us to weep before the Lord and do not stop even if life circumstances don’t change, even if things go badly for us and even if we loose the battle!

The devil will whisper in your ear that the Lord doesn’t care about you because you have gone too far and sinned too deeply, but remember he is a liar and the Bible says he is the father of lies!

Seek the Lord continually!

Blessings
