Deuteronomy 24:8-9 Leprosy

8In cases of infectious skin diseases, be careful to diligently follow everything the Levitical priests instruct you. Be careful to do as I have commanded them. 9Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the journey after you came out of Egypt.

“Leviticus 13 and 14 describe in great detail how God wanted lepers examined and quarantined. Because leprosy was such a dreaded disease, God commands here that they take heed in an outbreak of leprosy, so it would not become a plague throughout Israel.” (Guzik)

Numbers 12: 10As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous,

15So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.

It’s important to note that Miriam led a rebellion against Moses and being Moses’s sister she was prominent among the Israelites.

Plagues, natural or man made happen to anyone because we live in a sinful world.

I can’t wait to go home, to heaven where there will be no more sin, tears, sorrow, sickness or death, just the love of Jesus!

What about you?

Blessings
