Read, Seek, Ask. 1 Timothy 1:3-4 NLT

Remember David Koresh and the Branch Davidians? How about Marshall Applewhite and Heaven's Gate? There was also Jim Jones with the People's Temple in Jonestown, Guyana. They were all cults, all false teachers. They taught false doctrine and led the people astray.

The Bible teaches us over and over to avoid false teachings. It was a very real problem in the first century and will continue to be a problem right up until Jesus returns.

How do we guard ourselves against being led astray? Read your Bible, attend a good Bible teaching Church, find a good Bible Study group, research your questions from reputable sources.

Keep reading, keeping seeking and keep asking.

1 Timothy 1:3-4 NLT
3 When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay there in Ephesus and stop those whose teaching is contrary to the truth. 4 Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations,  which don’t help people live a life of faith in God.

The Great Commission. 1 Timothy 1:5-7 NLT

Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, 40 days after His death on the cross He told His disciples  “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. " Mark 16:15-16 NLT

This is called the Great Commission. As Christians, we are instructed to share the Gospel with those around us. Okay, I know, that's a little uncomfortable. "What if I say the wrong thing? " In trying to share Jesus, I have. "What if I do the wrong thing?" Guilty.  "What if I push the person further from God?" I believe my words or actions may have done that a couple of times too.

God is bigger then the mess we make. In at least one of my failings mentioned above, I've seen the person move closer to Christ. With another of my failings, I've seen the person move further away, to the point of becoming hostile towards me and the mention of Christ. This grieves me deeply.

Why does it matter? Why do I care? Not just because He told me to shate His message but because of what He has done in my life. I want everyone to experience the love I experience. I want everyone to live in the freedom of a clear conscience. I want everyone to have the same hope to live each day in this world knowing the joy coming in the next.

The "one thing", the "purpose of life", the "reason for it all"? To live a life that brings God glory so that we can spend eternity in the Glory of God.

1 Timothy 1:5-7 NLT
5 The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.  6 But some people have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions.  7 They want to be known as teachers of the law of Moses, but they don’t know what they are talking about, even though they speak so confidently.

Proverbs 22:6 What does KSS stand for?

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

What does KSS stand for? Kids Summer Summit! It was 4 evenings, 3 hours each nite that our church puts on for children, learning of Jesus and having fun. The last night was jumping castles and the human sundae! The human sundae consisted of the lead pastor, children’s director and his wife. The children decorated them with ice cream, chocolate sauce and whip cream! It was a funny spectacle to see!

We lean on this verse when we rear our children in Jesus Christ. We hold it dear to our heart when our child goes out into this world and chases after worldly things. We pray we planted a seed in fertile soil and one day it sprouts and is watered!

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You protect our children and that you draw them close to You. Water the seed and give it fertile soil to grow in. Give them the love of Christ and bless and protect them.
In Jesus name I pray.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 Pray with perseverance!

2 Thessalonians 3:
Request for Prayer
1Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread quickly and be held in honor, just as it was with you. 2And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men; for not everyone holds to the faith. 3But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 4And we have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do what we command. 5May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Prayer requests, we all have them. 1Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy were requesting prayer in these verses and we should use their example of the request for the same reasons! The world is falling apart around us and evil is everywhere.

Pray for the word of the Lord to spread!
Pray that you may be delivered from wicked and evil men!
Pray that He strengthens you and guards you from the evil one!
Pray that you have confidence in the Lord!
Pray that the Lord directs your heart into Gods love and Christ’s perseverance!

Continue to pray with perseverance!
Finally, brothers, pray for us!

Grace, Mercy and Peace. 1 Timothy 1:2 NLT

Grace, mercy and peace.

Grace - the free and unmerited favor of God. Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy, giving us what we didn't earn or deserve. Grace is God blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it

Mercy - Mercy is deliverance from judgment, not giving us what we deserve - punishment. Mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm. Mercy is God not punishing us as our sins deserve.

Peace - In reading about peace, that is a complete study in itself! There are several different types of Biblical peace. I believe the peace Paul is referring to here is the peace that comes from a relationship with Jesus. The peace received as a fruit of the Spirit. The peace that transcends all understanding.

1 Timothy 1:2 NLT

1 I am writing to Timothy, my true son in the faith.
May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace.

Blessings, Cecilia

2 Timothy 3:1-13 Turn away from such as these!

2 Timothy 3:  Evil in the Last Days
1But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, 4traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!
6They are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions, 7always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith. 9But they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone.
All Scripture is God-Breathed
10You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance, 11my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

As I watch the news I see increased evil! Uncontrollable people with no discipline getting into people’s faces, cursing, name calling, without knowledge of history equating the past to the present. They are blinded! Some invoke the name of God while calling for sinful actions.
I believe they should be careful, God won’t be mocked and may turn it around on their heads!
“Turn away from such as these!”
“their folly will be plain to everyone.”!

We need to pray, pray for our leaders, our country, for a revival, for protection.
Remember, God is in control.

Luke 16:1-2, 10-15 Which god do you serve?

Luke 16:1 Now He was also saying to the disciples, “There was a rich man who had a manager, and this manager was reported to him as squandering his possessions. 2“And he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

10“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. 11“Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? 12“And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? 13“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

14Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. 15And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.

We see in the news, stories of church employees who embezzle funds. How can this be? Christians stealing from the flock?
It comes down to two masters in verse 13. “You cannot serve God and wealth.”

Which god do you serve?

Obadiah 1:3 & James 4:6 Are you prideful or humble?

Obadiah 1:3 The pride of your heart has deceived you—you who dwell in clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’

Pride does that to us, “we” deserve more than what we are compensated for our job. Pride tells us we control everything and no one can tell us what to do because we know it all. One lie leads to another to cover up the first lie.

“Men, deceived by pride of heart, think they are really Christians and truly reconciled to God, while in fact they do not obey God.” (C.G.Finney)

“‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’” God!
God hates a prideful heat and He will eventually show us who is in control!

James 4:6 But He gives us more grace. This is why it says:
“God opposes the proud,
but gives grace to the humble.”

Are you prideful or humble?

Not Wishful Thinking. 1st Timothy 1:1 NLT

Hope is defined as "a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen." Wishful thinking.

But that's not Biblical hope.

Biblical hope is a strong and confident expectation. Let's "unpack" that for a few minutes. When I first read that definition, I thought to myself "What does THAT mean?"

Strong and confident expectation. Strong expectation, confident expectation. Strong means very intense. If your confident about something, you believe it. Expectation means belief that something will happen.

So, Biblically speaking, hope is very intense belief that what the Bible says is true. That seems simple enough. Then why do so many people struggle with believing what the Bible says is true? Maybe it's because no one can come to the Father unless the Father first draws him. Maybe, no matter how hard we try, some people will just never find that hope we, as believers, have.

That joyous, beautiful, peaceful, loving, confident hope that cannot be taken away.

Timothy 1:1 NLT
1This letter is from Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, appointed by the command of God our Savior and Christ Jesus, who gives us hope.

Matthew 7:6 Use discernment, cast your pearls wisely.

Matthew 7:6 Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

"Dogs" signify people who spurn, oppose, and abuse that doctrine; people of special sourness and malignity of temper, who meet it like growling and quarrelsome curs,” (Barnes)

Throw your pearls before swine. “the impure or coarse, who are incapable of appreciating the priceless jewels of Christianity.” (Jamieson-Facusset-Brown)

“The gospel is to be preached to every creature, Mark 16:15. But when the Jews were hardened, and spoke evil of that way before the multitude, Acts 19:9, the apostles left preaching them.” (Poole)

We all have family members who are not saved and when we try to talk to them about Jesus, they refuse to listen. This is where discernment comes into play.
Are they respectful when you pray at the dinner table? If so choose your words wisely and teach by example. I have a family member who refuses to listen about God or Jesus but they know how I lived before Jesus, before being born again. So I lead by example and I pray for them daily. Part of the problem is my two sisters who claim to be Christians stole my fathers estate and my other family member used them and their Christianity as an example why not to become Christian. Quote, “If this is what Christianity means I want no part of it!”

But if they mock you, then don’t throw your pearls of wisdom before the swine because the swine will trample your jewels under their feet. Swine, pigs are only concerned about food and they won’t know or care about precious pearls or jewels.

Use discernment, cast your pearls wisely.

Blessings, David

Romans 13:1-7 Are you submitting or resisting?

Romans 13:1-7 Submission to Authorities
Submission to Authorities
(1 Peter 2:13-20)
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. 2Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right, and you will have his approval. 4For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not carry the sword in vain. He is God’s servant, an agent of retribution to the wrongdoer.
5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to authority, not only to avoid punishment, but also as a matter of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes. For the authorities are God’s servants, who devote themselves to their work. 7Pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

In 2005 I was hired as a contact employee of USBP (United States Border Patrol).
In 2007 I was hired as a federal employee of USBP and sent to Nogales AZ. I personally witnessed the invasion from the south and saw how they were treated.
Our previous two presidents separated children from adults when illegal aliens were detained. But why the uproar now when it was acceptable with two prior administrations? Politics! We now longer have a news media reporting news, instead they are trying to manufacture news. This is called propaganda.

What does Romans 13 teach us about our government?
SUBMIT!
If you don’t submit, verse two gives you a warning; “will bring judgment on themselves.”
Be respectful of authority, pay your taxes and do what is right.
If you disagree with law or policy work legally within the system to change it.

Are you submitting or resisting?

1 John 1:3 Fellowship!

1 John 1:3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

Every year in Gaylord, pronounced Gaylerd there is a gathering called Big Ticket Festival. Three days and nights of Christians coming together for concerts, teachings and food. You bring a camp chair and find a place on the lawn or dirt lot and enjoy. Last night was Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North, Sidewalk Prophets and Matthew West.

We saw, heard, and had fellowship with many at this festival.

What are you doing to refill your gas tank and to refresh your minds in Jesus?

Garbage In, Garbage Out. Psalm 5:8-10 NASB

If Jesus is in you (Holy Spirit) why would you want to feed your heart, mind or soul garbage?

I've seen so many people who profess themselves to be Christian yet think nothing of listening to music with derogatory lyrics, watching horror movies or movies with explicit sex, pervasive language or violence. I find it hard to understand. Just because it has a good beat doesn't make it a great song. Just because Hollywood gives it a good review doesn't make it a good movie. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Christian, if you keep feeding your heart, mind and soul garbage, garbage eventually will come back out.

Next time you play that song, next time you sit down to that movie or TV show, ask yourself, if Jesus walked in right now, would I be embarrassed?

Psalm 5:8-10 NASB
8 Lead me in the right path, O LORD, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.
9 My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flattery.
10 O God, declare them guilty. Let them be caught in their own traps. Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against you.

Blessings, Cecilia

John 1:32-34 Do you believe this witness?

John 1:32Then John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and resting on Him. 33I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is He who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.

John was sent by God and a witness to these events. He actually saw the Holy Spirit descend upon Jesus during His baptism! At that moment John knew Jesus was the Son of God! And the witness testified, “I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.

Do you believe this witness?

Galatians 4:3-7 You are His heir!

Galatians 4:3 So also, when we were children, we were enslaved under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5to redeem those under the Law, that we might receive our adoption as sons. 6And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, you are also an heir through God.

This is a hard concept for unbelievers to understand. When we believe in Jesus Christ, accept His sacrifice for our sins, accept His grace and salvation, then....
“God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
It’s The Holy Spirit that speaks to our hearts, our conscience that whispers in our ear.

We receive our adoption as sons and daughters “and since you are a son (daughter), you are also an heir through God”!
Look up to Him as your a Father, ask Him for wisdom and guidance today because He’s waiting to hear from you because He loves you.
You are His heir!

Romans 1:18-20 We are without excuse!

Romans 1:18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.

We live in the woods and we wake up to birds singing, the leaves rustling with the breeze, animals scurrying around. All these things reminds me of God, the Creator of all these things. We rarely see another human being. The only way we know about the world and it’s “going on’s” is to read the news.

The truth is starting to be revealed about our government, a silent coup has been taking place. God is shining His light on it, “godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” We’ve done it to ourselves, we drifted from God.
God has made it plain to us in the Old Testament.
How many times has Israel drifted from God, what was the result?

What happened to Israel is no different from the United States, we’ve removed God from our schools, courts and homes. Abortion, drugs and sex on demand. A nation founded on God has rejected Him, we’ve become a nation of godlessness and wickedness!

We need to turn back to God! God has made it plain to us. We are without excuse!
Start by praying for our nation, our leaders, our families. Pray for a revival.
Pray continually!

Abundant Lovingkindness Psalm 5:7 NASB

When David wrote these words, Jesus hadn't died on the cross yet. But here is David, all those years before Christ, with complete understanding, unafraid to approach God. David understood God's grace. David understood God's love.

It took me years to understand "Therefore it was also credited to him as righteousness." How could Old Testament Saint's get credit for believing in Jesus when He hadn't died for our sins yet? But through their faith in God, because of their belief, because of their understanding of God's "abundant lovingkindness" they were able to experience that intimate, personal relationship we can so easily find today.

They knew God would provide a way. They trusted He would work it out. Because of God's abundant lovingkindness, the curtain in the temple was torn in two so that we can enter His house, so that we have access to His holy temple.

Psalm 5:7 NASB
7 But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house,
At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.

Judges 7:9-14 BSB I had a dream!

Gideon's Dream
9That night the LORD said to Gideon, “Get up and go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hands. 10But if you are afraid to do so, then go down to the camp with your servant Purah 11and listen to what they are saying. Then your hands will be strengthened to attack the camp.” So he went with Purah his servant to the outposts where armed men were guarding the camp.
12Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and all the other people of the East had settled in the valley like a swarm of locusts, and their camels were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore. 13And as Gideon arrived, a man was telling his friend about a dream. “Behold, I had a dream,” he said, “and I saw a loaf of barley bread come tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent so hard that the tent overturned and collapsed.”
14His friend replied: “This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has delivered Midian and the whole camp into his hands.”

Gideon’s dream was from God, letting him know “for I have given it into your hands.”
A man had a dream, “and I saw a loaf of barley bread come tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent so hard that the tent overturned and collapsed.”

Martin Luther King Jr had a dream as his famous quote says, I had a dream.

I had a dream, a lion walked up to me and I played dead while it mouthed me. Then I woke up. Was God speaking to me, was it meaningful or the dinner I ate that night?

God uses dreams to speak to us and the Bible is full of many examples.
What have you been dreaming about?

Ephesians 6:4 We have a Father in heaven!

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

What does Father’s Day mean to you? Will you miss your father? Will your child or children contact you and bless your day?
Or, will you go on as usual, as any other day?
Unfortunately for me my father went to be with his fathers years ago. Our adoptive son is living for the world and never contacts us, so I won’t be hearing from him.
So my day will go on as usual serving the Lord in our church nursery today.

As we study this verse I have tried to apply it to our son. But unfortunately anything could make him angry, I tried not to provoke but wasn’t always successful. I did try to bring him up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
I pray we planted a seed and someday it will be watered and sprout in good soil.

To all the fathers, happy Father’s Day and may our Lord bless your day today.
For all of us that have children but won’t hear from them, or to the men without children, or children that had abusive fathers, or the fatherless remember we have a father in heaven. Wish Him a happy Father’s Day and thank Him for adopting you!

Mark 10:19 & Romans 7:15 Christians are expected to sin-less not to be sinless.

Mark 10:19 You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, and honor your father and mother.'"

I read news stories about church employees who steal and embezzle funds. As a born again Christian I wonder how another Christian would allow Satan to whisper in their ear to steal or from their church?
Recently our elder board sent the congregation a letter explaining the church administrator noticed discrepancies in the credit card account of a former employee and restitution was made. The elder board has called for an audit and new checks and balances be implemented so this cannot happen again.

But the facts are we are all sinners whether Christian or not. As everyday passes we sin in thought or deed. The difference is how you deal with your sin. Make your accounts short with God.
Christians are expected to sin-less not to be sinless.

Paul says it best in “Struggling with sin”. Romans 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

Ephesians 1:1,15-17 Saints or Hypocrites?

Ephesians 1:15For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers 17and asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.

1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints in Ephesus. (The church).
How would you and your church like to be regarded and remembered?

Yesterday, Cecilia and I, as members of the Gaylord Efree Serve Team served the Michigan State Police at the gun range with hot coffee and monster cookies. If you have seen these cookies they are a meal in itself and were homemade by a lady at our church. Later for lunch Pastor David took them pizza, monster cookies and lemonade. This finished our Law Enforcement Appreciation as we served meals to our city police, county sheriff and state police in appreciation for their service to our community.

Will your church be remembered as saints or hypocrites?

Not Turning Back. Psalm 5:4-5 NLT

David and I listen to a lot of radio. In our house the radio goes on by 9:00 in the morning and stays on until 5 or 6 in the evening. When we are outside we take a portable radio with us. We have an old stereo system in the garage so we can listen when we are out there. We even have a radio in the pole barn. My radio is always on in my car and I listen on line at work.

Around 1999-2000 I became disillusioned by the lyrics in secular music. Some of the words in the songs I heard on a regular basis started really bothering me. One day while driving to work I started changing stations to see what else was out there besides the usual rock and roll I listened to. That's when I discovered Christian radio.
There was a Pastor that would do these "one minute sermons" throughout the day so I started hearing God's Word too. I really liked what this Pastor taught  and soon discovered he was the Pastor of a church near my home! I started attending this church and the rest is HIStory.

Recently I was told I was judgmental, on my high horse and looking down on others because I was not interested in watching a movie with sexually explicit scenes. I was told I needed to  "lighten up".

I will not compromise my convictions. I will not go along to get along. I will not deny my God to please anyone. I changed that station some 18 years ago and I'm not turning back.

Psalm 5:4-5 NLT
4 O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness;
you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked.
5 Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.

Blessings, Cecilia

Matthew 4:10 & Romans 7:15 Just say no!

Mathew 4 10“Away from me, Satan!” Jesus declared. “For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’d”

This is how Jesus dwelt with temptation, He used scripture and told Satan to leave. Why can’t we follow His example? Why do we fall?
Paul struggled also with falling from grace.
Romans 7: 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

I think the majority of us fall into Paul’s category, I know I do! Paul’s statement is brutally honest. We must be too if we are going to ask forgiveness and be forgiven.

Let’s aim higher and try to deal with sin like Jesus did.
Just say no and tell Satan, away from me! In Jesus name I pray.

Genesis 25:8 I feel really old!

Genesis 25:8 And at a ripe old age he (Abraham) breathed his last and died, old and contented, and was gathered to his people.

The last couple days I’ve been digging up a maple tree stump, it was actually 3 trees grown together at the base. I wanted to leave it but Cecilia wanted it gone.
I don’t know if I will ever get it out!
But one thing I do know is, I feel really old!
Cecilia says, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
How do you remove a stump? One root at a time!

At a ripe old age, David dug up a maple stump......

Lord Jesus, please send an angel to pluck that stump out of the ground!
In Jesus name I pray.

Psalm 34:13-14, Romans 13:1-2 Are you resisting authority?

Psalm 34: 13Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking deceit.
      14Depart from evil and do good;
            Seek peace and pursue it.

Yesterday in the news was a well known actor giving a speech at the Tony Awards speaking evil, hate and vulgarities about the president of the USA while the president is in negotiations with NKO seeking peace.

Hate consumes, it destroys you from the inside out.
Pray for those who hate and curse the president because they are bringing judgement upon themselves.

Romans 13:1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. 2Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

Are you resisting authority?

Col 1:13-14 The Domain of Darkness!

Col 1:13For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

What would we be like today if left to our own devices?
Look around you, do you like what you see?
“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness”...

Let that sink in, the domain of darkness!

You have been marked, transferred  and your final destination trip has been paid for to the kingdom of His beloved Son!

Blessings, David
