When Cecilia and I adopted our ten year old son by the will of our Lord Jesus Christ we needed to be strengthened and encouraged in our faith. We were shaken by trials,
we were destined for this, by His will and we would suffer persecution. Some had fear that the tempter had somehow tempted us and caused our labor to be in vain.
Cecilia and I had a discussion about our son the other day. Was the benefit of this adoption for our son or us?
Was our labor to be in vain?
We still don't know, but because of the trials our faith has grown stronger. Our son is living in the world for the world but we are reminded by this:
Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Please pray for our prodigal son.

Timothy's Visit
1So when we could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left on our own in Athens. 2We sent Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, 3so that none of you would be shaken by these trials. For you know that we are destined for this. 4Indeed, when we were with you, we kept warning you that we would suffer persecution; and as you know, it has come to pass. 5For this reason, when I could stand it no more, I sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter had somehow tempted you and caused our labor to be in vain.
Blessings, David
