Living, the few days of this futile life.

Eccl 4:9 Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return
for their labor; 10 for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his
companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have
another to lift him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, then they keep
warm; but how can one be warm alone? 12 And though one can overpower him
who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly
broken. 6:12 For who [limited by human wisdom] knows what is good for man
during his lifetime, during the few days of his futile life? He spends them
like a shadow [staying busy, but achieving nothing of lasting value]. For
who can tell a man what will happen after him [to his work, his treasure,
his plans] under the sun [after his life is over]?

Our days are passing quickly, and it seems as the older we get, the quicker
they pass. Solomon said many things that we should contemplate about living
life. Living, the few days of this futile life. Busyness for the wrong
reasons. Staying busy and achieving nothing of lasting, eternal value.
Working after the earthly treasure and leaving the important parts of life,
family and friends alone. Sometimes their are other distractions, hobbies,
media, video games, drinking and just living your own life without concern
for those that God has given to you as a blessing. Two are better than one
for so many reasons, better work, helping each other, staying warm, being
stronger. Put God in the mix, a three strand cord and it gets even better.
Brethren, may we keep focus on Jesus, heaven and those that God has
entrusted to us.
