1 Samuel 5:9 Hand of the Lord!

”So it was, after they had carried it away, that the hand of the Lord was against the city with a very great destruction; and He struck the men of the city, both small and great, and tumors broke out on them.“ ‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

a. The hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: The city of Gath didn’t do any better than the city of Ashdod. More of the destructive and painful tumors broke out on them. (Guzik)

Hand of the Lord!

It’s either for you or against you!

”And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.“ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭11‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I mentioned to my wife yesterday that I didn’t understand why the Lord blessed us recently in several areas because after all, we are still sinners.

In a way it was a rhetorical question and the answer is:

”In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.“

‭‭I John‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I see His hand throughout in our lives before, during and after becoming “born again”, stepping out in faith and adopting a boy no one wanted, becoming a chaplain and visiting the sick, elderly and bedridden, volunteering in children ministries and leading a Life Recovery Bible Group.

”By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”“

‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Are you one of His disciples?

Blessings
