27He asked if they were well, and then he asked, “How is your elderly father that you told me about? Is he still alive?”
28“Your servant our father is well,” they answered. “He is still alive.” And they bowed down to honor him.
29When Joseph looked up and saw his brother Benjamin, his own mother’s son, he asked, “Is this your youngest brother, the one you told me about?” Then he declared, “May God be gracious to you, my son.”
30Joseph hurried out because he was moved to tears for his brother, and he went to a private room to weep. 31Then he washed his face and came back out. Regaining his composure, he said, “Serve the meal.”
I wonder what the Egyptian servants thought of Joseph inviting the grain purchasers to his home for a meal? This gesture must have seemed very peculiar to them.
Joseph meets his only full brother Benjamin and becomes emotional, unable to hold back the tears he hurried out of the room.
Psalm 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
The Lord loves us and He keeps track of your pain and sorrows, He collects your tears and stores them in a bottle.
When we meet Him, He will wipe away every tear because He is a loving Father.
The hard facts about Joseph life is this, if he didn’t interpret dreams, wasn’t sold off as a slave and endured prison his family would have died from the famine and a nation wouldn’t have been formed.
Joseph endured pain and sorrows to save a family.
Jesus endured pain, sorrows and death to save you!
I wonder what size of tear bottle we have compared to the tear bottle of Jesus Christ?
Blessings, David
