Unforgivable? Genesis 26:34-35 NLT

Sometimes I read a passage in the Bible and I find it down right funny. These next to verses are like that.

Genesis 26:34-35 NLT

34 At the age of forty, Esau married two Hittite wives: Judith, the daughter of Beeri, and Basemath, the daughter of Elon.  35 But Esau’s wives made life miserable for Isaac and Rebekah.

Rebellion is no laughing matter. Esau rebelled against God when he gave away his birth right because it wasn't his to give away. His choice of wives was further rebellion not just against his parents but against God as well. Next we will see the consequences of his rebellion.

Hebrews 16:16 Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal.  17 You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears.

Don't wait until it's too late for you. The only unforgivable sin is the one you won't  confess.

Blessings, Cecilia
