Jude 1:20-23
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. 23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

Do you see more Jesus in America today or less? I see less. Yet 280,000,000 Americans claim to be "born again" as of 2014. That's because there has been an addition of Jesus without a subtraction of sin. Sin is sin, I believe there are no sins worse than others. Stealing makes us just as guilty as murder, murder makes us just as guilty as lying.
When we add Jesus but don't subtract the sin in our life, we are not being obedient to God, God's Word or Jesus. We cannot conform God to social change, we have to conform our way of thinking to God's way. That's loving the sinner but hating the sin. And that's what verse 23b is all about. " Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives. "
If you've added Jesus, you have to subtract the sin.
Blessings, Cecilia
