6Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for by this time tomorrow I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn up their chariots.”
Do Not Be Afraid
Like Joshua, there are times we need to be reminded by the Lord, do not be afraid because I am with you!
Joshua the mighty man of valor needed a confirmation from the Lord not to be afraid and if he needed one, why not us? Even a mighty man is overcome by fear once in awhile and in this verse God reaffirms, do not be afraid!
Jesus bore your cross for you, can He not bear your fears too?
Father God, we thank You for Your Son Jesus and the cross He carried for us. I lift up my fears to You and the fears of everyone reading this and ask that You whisper in our ear, do not be afraid. Please give us the courage of Joshua as we go out into the world today. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
