5You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter. 6You have condemned and murdered the righteous, who did not resist you.
I wonder if our apartments and homes are considered luxury? When you compare them to most of the world I believe we would be considered rich.
There is a group from Calvary Tucson that travels to Mexico twice a year to build homes for the poor. They are basically a glorified Tuff Shed with a concrete floor and stucco walls. If you view some of the pictures of the event you can see in the background cardboard shacks. The group preaches, teaches and glorifies God.
Don't fatten your hearts.
Don't take advantage of the poor.
Don't end up like the rich man while ignoring the poor man at your gate!
Is there a poor man at your gate?
Blessings, David
