16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. 17Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.
Confessing our sins and prayer. If anyone says I do not sin, they just sinned because they lied! How many times a day to we judge someone by their looks or dress? This is my great sin, judging people and when I catch myself I pray for forgiveness. Sin starts with a thought, then we water it and it grows like a garden.
What sin are you watering today?
God withheld rain from Israel because of their sin, worshipping a false god!

An interesting read about Elijah and prayer. https://witzend.wordpress.com/2010/08/04/elijah-the-man-who-knew-how-to-pray/
Are you worshipping a false god? If you are not sure, pray earnestly that God would reveal any false gods in your life.
Blessings, David
