Deuteronomy 32:44-47 Take to heart all these words

  44Then Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45When Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46he said to them, “Take to heart all these words I testify among you today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law. 47For they are not idle words to you, because they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

“Take to heart all these words”

“One of Satan’s great lies to us is that it is a futile thing to serve God and obey His word. It often seems that those who are against God prosper more than those who are for Him. Yet, we need to see and understand - from an eternal perspective - that it is not a futile thing to love and obey God.” (Guzik)

John 3:36 (Amp) He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is, already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”

Most people live for the here and now and refuse to consider the eternal perspective, that is eternal life. They consider it foolishness, nonsense to believe in God and in the Son who gave us grace and salvation. They refuse to believe that every person has a soul, and as the actors line in a movie said, “when you die there’s a big black nothing”.

But like the rich man and poor man in the Bible you have been warned!

There’s heaven and hell, which do you choose?

I beg you, “Take to heart all these words” and choose life!

Let all Gods angels worship Him! All means all!

Have you ever considered how the Old Testament points to the New Testament and vice versa? Its God vindicating His word!

Do you read His word or study it?

When studying the Bible one must consider the footnotes.

Deuteronomy 32:39-42 There is no God besides Me!

 39See now that I am He;

there is no God besides Me.

I bring death and I give life;

I wound and I heal,

and there is no one

who can deliver from My hand.

40For I lift up My hand to heaven and declare:

As surely as I live forever,

41when I sharpen My flashing sword,

and My hand grasps it in judgment,

I will take vengeance on My adversaries

and repay those who hate Me.

42I will make My arrows drunk with blood,

while My sword devours flesh—

the blood of the slain and captives,

the heads of the enemy leaders.”

There is no God besides Me!

These verses in the Song of Moses should give everyone pause!

Judgement is coming to this world, “I will take vengeance on My adversaries

and repay those who hate Me.”

How much more will God take vengeance on those that hate His Son?

“My sword devours flesh—

the blood of the slain and captives,

the heads of the enemy leaders.”

Get right with God before it’s too late.

He gave you a way out, a door to open, a gate to walk through!

John 3: 16For God so loved the world that He gave His one and onlye Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Loose your pride or loose your head!

Kneel and the the cross and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Deuteronomy 32:36-38 Their strength is gone!

 36For the LORD will vindicate His people

and have compassion on His servants

when He sees that their strength is gone

and no one remains, slave or free.

37He will say: “Where are their gods,

the rock in which they took refuge,

38which ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let them rise up and help you;

let them give you shelter!

Their strength is gone!

This is a common theme to man before he can come to the Lord. He has to hit bottom, when his strength is gone and no one remains slave or free! Man has to be broken and come on his knees for there can be no pride left in him!

God has to break our pride on the Rock before we are willing to accept His Son, Jesus. It’s only when you see your worth as that of a worm that the Son can raise you up as a new man in Christ!

Have you shared your salvation story to draw others to Christ?

If you don’t have one to share, have you really been born again? John 3:3

Deuteronomy 32:34-35 Vengeance is Mine

 34“Have I not stored up these things,

sealed up within My vaults?

35Vengeance is Mine; I will repay.

In due time their foot will slip;

for their day of disaster is near,

and their doom is coming quickly.”

Vengeance is Mine

Romans 12: 19Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”

It’s difficult to walk differently than the world because they seek vengeance but we are supposed to seek forgiveness.

Matthew 6: 14For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.

Do you see how Jesus works?

FORGIVE AND BE FORGIVEN.

Deuteronomy 32:28-33 Their rock is not like our Rock!

 28Israel is a nation devoid of counsel,

with no understanding among them.

29If only they were wise, they would understand it;

they would comprehend their fate.

30How could one man pursue a thousand,

or two put ten thousand to flight,

unless their Rock had sold them,

unless the LORD had given them up?

31For their rock is not like our Rock,

even our enemies concede.h

32But their vine is from the vine of Sodom

and from the fields of Gomorrah.

Their grapes are poisonous;

their clusters are bitter.

33Their wine is the venom of serpents,

the deadly poison of cobras.

“They would comprehend their fate”

The song of Moses gives this warning but who will heed it?

Surly the blind will see it, the fate of backsliding!

Its like the big red warning ⛔️ sign, do not touch, HOT!

Or do not enter, ðŸ›‘ MINEFIELD!

But because of our sin nature backsliding is our destiny. We will touch and burn ðŸ”¥ our finger, we will enter the minefield ðŸš§ because we can!

Their rock is not like our Rock!

But there’s hope! Because Jesus is our Rock!

2 Samuel 22:3 My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation. My stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, You save me from violence.

Acts 4:11 For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

Deuteronomy 32:23-27 When God Hides His Face!

 23‘I will heap misfortunes on them;

I will use My arrows on them.

24‘They will be wasted by hunger, and consumed by plague

And a bitter destruction;

And I will send the teeth of beasts against them,

With the venom of crawling things of the dust.

25‘Outside the sword will bereave,

And inside [the chambers] terror--

For both young man and virgin,

For the nursing child and the man of gray hair.

26‘I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces [scattering them far away],

I will remove the memory of them from men,”

27Had I not feared the provocation of the enemy,

That their adversaries would misjudge,

That they would say, “Our [own] hand has prevailed,

And the LORD has not done all this.”’

“When the hiding of His face does not draw God’s people into repentance, God then sends His hand of correction, and allows calamity to bring the attention of His people back upon Him.” (Guzik)

As we dive into this chapter it’s difficult to remember it’s a song the Lord had Moses write! We can say it’s also a prophecy because it all came to pass!

2 Kings 25: 1So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire army. They encamped outside the city and built a siege wall all around it. 2And the city was kept under siege until King Zedekiah’s eleventh year. 3By the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine in the city was so severe that the people of the land had no food.

Has God hid His face and sent His hand of correction upon US allowing calamity to bring the attention of His people back upon Him?
