a. Now the king had commanded: David wanted it clearly known that Absalom was to be captured alive and should not be mistreated in any way.
b. All the people heard: David gave this commandment in the presence of all the people so that the captains would feel greater pressure to do what David commanded. (Guzik)

Last night during the Life Recovery Bible Group that we lead, we had fourteen in attendance which is high number for summer. My favorite time is small group with the men and open share time, hearing how Jesus is moving in the men’s lives over the past week!
