1 Samuel 25:21-22 Heart ❤️

”Now David had said, “Surely in vain I have protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belongs to him. And he has repaid me evil for good. May God do so, and more also, to the enemies of David, if I leave one male of all who belong to him by morning light.”“

‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭25‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

a. And he has repaid me evil for good: David was accurate, but not right in his heart. He had the facts straight, but not his heart.

b. If I leave one male of all who belong to him by morning light: This made David’s intention clear – he planned to massacre Nabal and all the males of his household. This was the expected reaction (Nabal’s own servants expected it according to 1 Samuel 25:17) but God called David to go further than the world expected. (Guzik)

Heart ❤️

We just returned from downstate from a Thankmas celebration with my siblings and their spouses but unfortunately during the drive I murdered a lot of people because Jesus said:

”“You’re familiar with the command to the ancients, ‘Do not murder.’ I’m telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother ‘idiot!’ and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell ‘stupid!’ at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The people of the world are crazy, in a hurry, cut you off in traffic throwing salt and stones on your windshield!

But as Christian’s we are to act differently and to turn the other cheek!

David was not right in his heart.

I like David, was guilty of murdering people in my heart.

Are you?

Blessings
