Joshua 5:10-11 Remembrance

10On the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, while the Israelites were camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, they kept the Passover. 11The day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate unleavened bread and roasted grain from the produce of the land.

Remembrance

“The original Passover itself could never be repeated, but there was power in its remembrance. They were to always live remembering that they were a people delivered and remembering God’s work of deliverance.” (Guzik)

“In the same way, we are to be in constant remembrance of our redemption at Calvary and live our lives in the shadow of the cross.” (Guzik)

Luke 22: 19And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

20In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.

Jesus is our Passover Lamb

1 Corinthians 5: 7Get rid of the old leaven, that you may be a new unleavened batch, as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Is Jesus Christ your Passover lamb?
