God is in control, but what if?

 God is in control.

If you are anxious over the presidential election fear not, the Lord is in control!

Daniel 2:21 NLT He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.

Daniel 2:21 BSB: He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

But what if......the election doesn’t turn out the way YOU want? Will you protest or riot?

Romans 13:1 NLT Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.

Romans 13:1 BSB: Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.

These verses explain and teach us that if we don’t submit we are in fact fighting against the Lord. You may not like this fact but we can’t cherry-pick the Bible, what we like and discard what we don’t!

Many times in the Bible we see lessons when Israel fell from grace and sinned against God and He brought calamity upon them. It was usually in the form of drought or invading armies. Rest assured we are in this time because we have fallen from grace. We’ve elected self serving politicians who are drunk on power. We’ve aborted millions of babies, we haven’t raised our children biblically.

We have a powerful tool that many of use fail to use. Prayer!

We need to lift our nation up, we need to lift our leaders up, we need to lift our laws up, we need to pray without ceasing.
