Colossians 4 How do you communicate?

Fellow Workers
1Masters, supply your slaves with what is right and fair, since you know that you also have a Master in heaven.
2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful, 3as you pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4Pray that I may declare it clearly, as I should.
5Act wisely toward outsiders, redeeming the time. 6Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Be thoughtful, be watchful, be prayerful, be proclaiming the mystery of Christ, declare it clearly, act wisely, speak graciously, seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Wise words from Paul. But what does he mean, seasoned with salt?

Guzik commentary:
iii. "In classical writers 'salt' expressed the wit with which conversation was flavoured." (Peake) "Grace and salt (wit, sense) make an ideal combination." (Robertson)

b. That you may know how you ought to answer each one: Paul believed that Christians would answerothers from Biblical truth, and that they would work at knowing how to communicate those answers to those who are outside.

How do you communicate to those who are outside?
