Jeremiah 17 NKJV 5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. 7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Is God front and center in your life? He should be. People will at one time or another, let you down. Some will break your heart. Children go astray, spouses aren't perfect and will disappoint, best friends can betray us. After all, we are only human. The only human who was ever perfect was Jesus, God with us. God will never break your heart. God will never go astray. God will never disappoint. God will never betray you. God will always be right there, supporting, nurturing, loving and encouraging you. Put the Lord front and center in your life. Love Him with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. Stay firmly planted in Him and see how the rest of your world blooms. Blessings, Cecilia |
